This is just another memo showing that the police department is being used as a revenue machine for CITY HALL and if the $$$$ are not brought in the jobs will be lost.
Mr.HAYNES stated in the audio tape that CHIFE HUBBARD was not fired for a lack of revenue but because he was not not meeting the department goals.
For the last year CHIEF HUBBARD was on the JOB THERE WAS A REDUCTION IN EVERY CRIME IN THE CITY WITH ONE EXCEPTION, THIS BEING HOMICIDE.
So if all reportable crimes had a decrease (except for homicide), and revenue was behind projection for the fiscal year (and Cheif Hubbard was told over and over again that he always had an excuse for revenue being down (excuses such as officers at the academy, new officers being trained, injured officers, etc...)) It sure is starting to look like CHIEF HUBBARD fell victim to the CITY HALL REVENUE MACHINE!!!!!
ADMINISTATOR 1- I have seen additional memos that were with the letter to the business owners.If you have copies, could you post them here?
Was the lieutenant's list based off of this one or did he come up with his own just for the hell of it?
So maybe the mayor and Brooks Willis were just 'doing their job' when they approached officer Shiflett that night and cost him his job.

I think you misunderstood Oneofmanyvictims' comment...
I get the impression that not only was he being facetious but was also highlighting the fact that the memo was from the top.
That's the reason for the "" around the phrase "doing their job"
It wasn’t that I misunderstood his comment so much as I wanted to inform him/her or anyone of the real reason Shiflett was fired. Rather than retype what I had just typed on another page I posted what I posted.
Also I’m wondering why you have the “memo” in a screenshot the way you do. It makes it look fake, like something you just typed up and took a screenshot of. And so there is no misunderstanding on your part this time around, I’m not saying it’s a fake, I’m just curious as to why it was posted that way.
Oh and another thing. They weren’t quotations they were apostrophes, just so you know for next time you try to correct someone.

Frontline, I was being sarcastic when I said that maybe they were 'doing their job'. I usually use apostrophes instead of quotation marks for two reasons. One, I wasn't quoting anyone and two, I'm simply too lazy to press the shift key. I'm sure you're already aware of it as well, but the mere fact that those two even came up to Shiflett that night in the first place was a direct violation of their own city policy.
The answer is ease. However, I have given you another that should satisfy.
I find it odd that a memo of this magnitude would not have been on letterhead. There is NO evidence that this memo is real.
Kinda funny how you ignore Shane's RECORDED threats to officers and his RECORDED screaming at officers but yet the simple fact that this memo isn't a scan leads you to say, "a memo of this magnitude". I'm pretty sure that if the scan is posted you'll simply blow it off as something like, "You gotta break some eggs to make an omelet." Pathetic.
Pay it no mind oneofmany. He's once again just trying to derail everything and send it off in a different direction.
Make no mistake it has always been about the revenue with Mr Haynes and the PD. I was with the PD when all this started last year. 6 Years ago when Chief Hubbard took over his projected revenue was $400,000 and in that 6 years, between TC and Shane they took it to the alltime high of today $1,500,000 that it is today. This was done with only 2 additional officers.
When Chief Hubbard was put on his two week leave and the Dan and Eric show started the employees of the department ( some called to a special meeting at the automall the day before the department meeting took place by Dan. This group was to be the new 6 man traffic team.)
In this special meeting Dan told his new traffic group that things were going to be different, and made a comment that Eric Broxton may not have a job when he gets back from his leave.
The next day at the department meeting Dan said that this is the new schedule and it is coming from city hall and if anybody has a problem with it they can turn in their RESIGNATION and it will be forwarded to city hall.
At this time the PD had 10 officers working the street pulling 6 for a traffic team left only 4 officers to do patrol. This put one officer on patrol at a time and with one being out at night with no backup( unless he was good friends with the deputy working the south end)
While this was going on one officer kept telling the rest of us that we needed to do what Dan said that he had Shanes ear right now.
Even after the Chief was aloud to come back THATS RIGHT I SAID ALOUD TO BECAUSE HE HAD TOGET PERMISSION
FROM SHANE BEFOR HE COULD COME BACK. This is when he was told that he would have to take the blame for all that has happened and all that is going to take place.
It looks like Dan kept hold of Shanes ear even after the Chief came back.
But for Mr. Haynes to stand and say in the meeting with the PD that Dan did not ask for this he did not wont this. THIS IS JUST WHAT DAN WANTED!! NO MATTER WHO OR HOW MANY OF HIS TRUSTED FRIENDS, HE HAD TO STAB IN THE BACK. THE CHIEF WENT OUT THE DOOR STILL TELLING PEOPLE THAT HE FELT DAN COULD STILL BE TRUSTED. I WOULD LIKE TO ASK HIM CHIEF DO YOU STILL FELL THAT WAY ABOUT DAN???
OR DO YOU SEE HIM FOR THE BACKSTABBER THAT EVERYONE WHO HAS EVER HAD THE DISPLEASURE OF WORKING UNDER THIS POOR EXCUSE OF A LEADER.
I AM GOING TO SAY THIS TO DAN MARTIN I FOR ONE AM GLAD I WAS NOT THERE TO SEE YOU DO THIS TO THE CHIEF. NOT ONE TIME IN THIS BLOG DID I USE YOUR RANK BECAUSE RESPECT IS EARNED DOT DEMANDED.
I AM GOING TO LEAVE YOU WITH THIS!!!!
NO MAN IS ABOVE THE LAW AND NO MAN IS BELOW THE LAW NOR DO WE ASK ANY MANS PERMISSION TO ENFORCE THE LAW!!!!
